Bio: Two Ukes and a Bass

Wendy Smith, Marcia Standiford, and Dustin (Dusty) Thompto of Two Ukes and a Bass, have been
sharing the joy of the ukulele at farmer’s markets and open mics for the past four years. They originally
met many years ago as newbies at MAUI (the Madison Area Ukulele Initiative). Marcia and Wendy
quickly discovered that their voices blended especially well when singing their favorite oldies from
classic country and pop music. Since then they have immersed themselves in a nationwide ukulele
culture, hitting the road to festivals far and wide.

When Dusty picked up the UBass, they knew they had to enlist him in what would become Two Ukes
and a Bass. Good bass players are in high demand. Dusty currently plays with four groups and loves
every minute of it.

The versatile KRISTI Kirchmiller will step in for Dusty on bass at the Aurora Ukulele Festival. She fits right
in, dropping her high harmonies and unlimited talents to the music of Two Ukes and a Bass.
