Matt Taylor

Matt Taylor is a music artist who resides in Rockford, Illinois. He has played music in front of live audiences for over 20 years—covering a variety of music genres such as jazz, classical, reggae, and pop. 

Aside from performing live, Matt loves to teach music, and has mentored hundreds of musicians for over a decade. In fact, he teaches people how to play the ukulele through his YouTube channel, U CAN UKE. 

Since April 2017, Matt has posted ukulele tutorials and play along videos on a weekly basis—gaining over 200,000 subscribers and millions of video views on U CAN UKE. You’ll find out on his channel that he teaches songs through a simple step-by-step process. He starts every lesson off by introducing song chords, follows with the chord progression(s), and then adds a strumming pattern. He provides a short demonstration of all those elements combined towards the end of his lessons. If the viewer desires to play through the entire song that they learned, they may refer to his play along videos.
